Victorian terrace house in Linslade. Garden had large existing pond (with fish!) in the centre of the lawn. This prevented the lawn being used as an effective playspace so was re-designed as two raised pools with water falling from the upper to the lower pool over a copper water spout. The pond was covered with a protective grill to make it child safe. Tall copper pots on the terrace are planted with phormium and Japanese Acer. A large lawn has been created allowing children to play on, with space for a Wendy House on stilts with sand pit underneath. At the end of the garden a second entertaining terrace has been created, sourrounded with raised sleeper beds planted with ferns, ajuga and cimicifuga. Black bamboo screens the shed.
